Ingredients:
For the cake:
1 package yellow or strawberry cake mix (I used strawberry)1 c. guava juice (replace the amount of water called for the package with guava juice-- this varies depending on the brand, so just adjust it accordingly)
1/2 c. vegetable oil (or however much is asked for on the box)
3 eggs (or how many is asked for on the box)
1/2 c. guava juice (this is for drizzling on top of cooled cake for extra guava flavor!)

8 oz. package of cream cheese, softened1/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
8 oz. package of Cool Whip, thawed
Guava glaze:
2 c. guava juice1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. corn starch
pink food coloring (optional)
Instructions:
Cake:
Bake cake in line with package directions, work guava juice for water. I used a 9x13 pan for this formula. Once cake is cooled, poke holes on high of the cake with a fork. Drizzle with guava juice and put aside to let the juice course into the cake.Cream cheese mixture
In a medium bowl, beat cheese with hand mixer till downy. Add sugar and vanilla and ram down. Slowly fold within the Cool Whip and refrigerate till able to use. (I additional one or two of tablespoons of guava juice to the mixture furthermore. you'll do that furthermore, however it did not add a lot of guava flavor.)Guava glaze:
In a medium sauce pan, bring the two cups guava juice and sugar to a boil. create a paste out of the starch and atiny low quantity of water. Once the guava and sugar ar boiling, take away cooking pan from heat and stir within the starch mixture. come to heat and produce back to a boil and boil for one minute. Add one or two drops of pink colouring. (Some forms of guava juice are not pink in color, therefore if you would like to induce the pink color, you'll undoubtedly add some pink colouring to induce that pretty pink guava color. I used "soft pink" from AmeriColor.) Cool in white goods. To assemble cooled cake:
Thickly ice the cake with the cheese mixture. (Make certain there is enough space on the highest for the guava glaze-- if you do not assume there'll be enough space, scale back the number of the cheese mixture so there is space for the glaze.) Glaze the highest of the cake with guava gel. Refrigerate till able to servesource http://recipetocooking.blogspot.com/2019/03/guava-cake.html
